Your 2011-2012 Central Region Vice President, Micah Melling, joined DECA as a freshman and has been an active member ever since. 

Micah was a two-time state officer for Missouri DECA.  As a junior, he served as the organization’s District 4 Vice President and provided leadership for twelve DECA chapters in Missouri.  In October of his senior year, Micah was elected to lead Missouri DECA as its State President.  In this role, Micah provided leadership for nearly 9,200 members and 180 chapters.  He was also the facilitator of Missouri DECA’s State Action Team as well as the student leader of the association’s State Career Development Conference.  Additionally, Micah was a three-year chapter officer for the Clinton DECA in Missouri, twice serving as president and once serving as treasurer.  As a DECA competitor, Micah was a competitive-event participant for four years and a two-time ICDC qualifier. 

At his high school, Micah was the editor of the school paper, the vice president of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Chapter, and a three-year varsity letterman in baseball.  He is also employed by Custom Resources, a member of DECA’s National Advisory Board.  Micah is currently a freshman at the University of Central Missouri (UCM) in Warrensburg, Missouri and is double-majoring in Business Management and Marketing.
